Fly Sweet Bird to The Land of No Return is an original work by Mexican composer and pianist Macarena Palazuelos, inspired by a poetic story written by the artist herself.
Through the story of Noa, a bird who sets out in search of her wings, the work explores the journey of leaving behind what is familiar and finding the courage to return to oneself. Noa's journey becomes a metaphor for self-love, transformation, and the possibility of turning fear into inner strength.
The work unfolds across eight chapters, written for piano, soprano voice, and two cellos. Throughout the performance, the chapters of the story are projected as text, allowing the audience to follow Noa's journey while the music unfolds.
